In the Beginning....
Charlie Pinson began his insurance career in 1993,
as a debit life insurance agent. When the company was taken over by an international
conglomerate, he decided to become an independent insurance agent. Charlie Pinson Insurance was established
in 1996. Charlie's vision was, and still is, “Kentucky people working for
Kentucky people.”
From the beginning, Triple B Insurance founders Jack Burchett, Sr. and Joe Childers have been a guiding
light behind our success. With over one hundred combined years in the insurance
industry, Jack and Joe have provided mentoring support for the Kentucky health insurance products and Kentucky employee benefits.
After two years, Charlie Pinson Insurance began to grow exponentially. Growth can be attributed to the acquisition of Triple B Insurance and the addition of Smart Choice Kentucky Agents Program offering Kentucky car insurance.. Charlie's wife,
Joyce, began full-time as a health agent in 1998. With rapid growth, brother-in-law,
Mark Frantom assumed the role of personal lines manager a year later.
In the summer of 2007, Joe Childers officially retired from the insurance business. However, Jack Burchett continues to be an active leader for our Kentucky Health Insurance team.
That same year brought the redesign of our virtual Kentucky Insurance Office, www.pinsoninsurance.com. The web site offers Kentucky Insurance quotes, including health insurance, : auto insurance, and Anthem's Medicare Advantage product. Late in 2007, Charlie Pinson entered into a partnership with C & B Insurance, which focuses on Kentucky health insurance for individuals and families.
Early in 2008, Charlie Pinson Insurance began offering Safeco Insurance's TEENSURANCE, a product designed to help parents keep their Kentucky Young Drivers safe. Coupled with a Kentucky Safeco Insurance policy the program offers GPS tracking, monitoring of speed and car controll, as well as roadside assistance.
With a focus on concierge level customer service, Charlie Pinson Insurance KY has become
a vibrant Kentucky small business. Each year the agency is recognized for outstanding production, community leadership,
and field underwriting. We value our relationships with our vendors and our customers they are the key to our success.
Locations
Growth has prompted office expansion. In the fall of 2004, we relocated
to spacious offices in downtown Pikeville.Our Pikeville home office is within easy walking distance of the Pike County Courthouse, East Kentucky Expo Center, Pike County Chamber of Commerce,
Pikeville City Hall, and Pikeville College.
Our virtual office, www.pinsoninsurance.com, was redesigned in early 2007 to better serve our clients statewide, especially in Louisville, KY and Lexington, KY.
Community
From inception, Charlie Pinson Insurance has been involved in Kentucky community activities. We support school programs,
with emphasis on Pikeville College. We are involved in the Pike County Chamber
of Commerce, Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, and Pikeville Concert Association.
A last word...the history of our chant
Charlie Pinson Insurance is synonymous with
high school and college sports. As a sports commentator, Charlie regularly
covers high school match ups. In an ploy to get their student body on TV,
the Pike Central pep section started chanting, “Charlie Pinson, Charlie
Pinson” during a telecast. Since that time, the Charlie Pinson chant featuring
local high schools has been incorporated into our TV and radio commercials.
We have featured Pike County Central and Belfry High Schools. Currently our ad highlights "The Blue Crew" from Shelby Valley High School.
